Georgetown Cupcake, a beloved brand known for its delectable treats, has unfortunately closed its doors. With a strong presence on Google Maps, Georgetown Cupcake had garnered high praise from its customers. Its extensive menu catered to various preferences, featuring flavors like fudge, vegan, red velvet, and more. The cupcakes themselves were renowned for their delectable cream cheese icing, chocolate ganache, and cinnamon toppings. Regrettably, due to unforeseen circumstances, Georgetown Cupcake is no longer operational. Although it is with sadness that they bid farewell to this cherished establishment, the memories and flavors it created will linger in the hearts and taste buds of its loyal patrons.

We got a dozen of them assorted in 2 packs. Absolutely delicious, the frosting and cake both were good. Was skeptical about the mixed reviews of the place but it’s worth the wait time and money.
Visited on Memorial Day it was a really long queue outside the shop, it moves quite fast. And it’s a grab and go place.
The red velvet cupcakes were our favourite. There parking was difficult.
The shop is well maintenance and clean.
Cupcakes were great but not unique. The prices were wayyyyy too pricey for what you get. The staff was really friendly and nice. I’m torn with this place. Cupcake was ok but tiny and pricey. Unless they have some unique flavor I wouldn’t bother.
The place has room for a couple of guests so mostly people grab the cupcakes to go.
I ordered a red velvet cupcake and my friend choose a coconut one.
You can actually feel the softness of the cupcake that has been made recently.
Not overly sweet, just the perfect amount. However, they made a BIG mistake when they mixed butter cream with the cream cheese. (Red velvet uses only cream cheese, this is one of the biggest differences)
I'm not gonna talk about the coffee because they're not focused in that. But I will say NO.
Prices are by the brand, so to try once it's ok.
(To them: Check the restrooms more often!!!)
I’m not the biggest cupcake eater but theirs are very well-made. The cherry blossom one (only available in certain months) is amazing. My favorite is their cherry cheesecake (not a cupcake) - a cheesecake with cherries and topped with a cherry flavored frosting,
Excellent service and cupcakes. The cupcakes are well balanced in flavor (very true to description), cake-to-icing ratio, and size (a reasonable size for one person to enjoy). An interesting selection of seasonal flavors, with classics such as chocolate peppermint. The store is small but had ample room to navigate other customers. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the service was excellent. There is space to enjoy a cupcake it two in the shop as well.
We recently visited NYC, stopping by the Georgetown Cupcakes on Mercer Street in the Soho District. This is a famous bakery from the D.C. area that we have very much enjoyed during visits to the nation's capital as well as Boston in recent years. As such, we were quite excited to try their bakery here in Manhattan. We weren't disappointed.
There are a handful of tables to enjoy cupcakes in their shop. Alternatively, you can purchase boxes of cupcakes to take back to your hotel if you want to try a few varieties than is possible to eat during your visit to the bakery.
Of the cupcakes we tried at this Georgetown Cupcakes, we most enjoyed the vegan apple cinnamon and the outstanding lemon cheesecake, which was more of a traditional NYC style cheesecake served up in cupcake form. Sweet graham cracker base and delicious, slightly tarty cheesecake filling - this was just delicious.
In the end, we very much enjoyed the Georgetown cupcakes again. We will almost certainly continue to include stops at their branches where we can find them during our travels.
Best cupcakes in the city of you ask me! Definitely my go to. The cupcakes are so delicious and moist, never fail. The staff are super friendly, always smiling and in high spirits! They even surprised me with an extra cupcake 🫶🏾 …
Don’t walk, run for these cupcakes. The BEST cupcakes I have ever had and that is the first dessert I try every time I visit a new city. I tried a raspberry cheesecake and peanut butter cupcakes the first day and looooved how good they are and went back the next day for more. This time I got 6 raspberry cheesecake, raspberry lemon cheesecake, lava fudge cupcake, peanut butter lava cheesecake, cookies and cream and red velvet cupcake. Although we had to wait for over 40mins as it was a Saturday afternoon, they are well worth the time. Raspberry cheesecake and cookies and cream are my favorite. If you are in DC area, don’t forget to give these cupcakes a chance and I bet you will get hooked. 5 stars is too less for this store.
